ANNA DANVERS21 years old, full-time superhero/PR spokeswoman, Warbird, Single Grew expectations, moments in the sun We've waited all our lives And now we know, our time has come - Nothin's gonna stand in our way! Anna Danvers is the daughter of former Avengers Carol 'Ms. Marvel' Danvers and Simon 'Wonder Man' Williams. She went through the formal training at Camp Hammond to become an Avenger herself, and also operates as a solo hero in cooperation with Chrysalis Inc. Her powers include super-strength, physical invulnerability, energy absorption, photon blasts and flight. Friends:Anna doesn't really have much of a social life in the proper sense of the word - superheroes don't get weekends off, in her mind. So what friends she has tend to be people she meets as part of her work. Anna is open-minded enough to be friendly towards anyone who's willing to leap into harm's way for the good of others like she is, and due largely to her fannish knowledge and adoration for the Avengers of years gone by, will do everything in her power to befriend the relatives of old team members. Additionally, Anna's a bit of a nerd about various things, and she does enjoy it when people at least pretend to be interested in aeroplanes, the military, Star Trek (really), hypothetical superhero battles ("You think Wolverine could beat Captain America? Nah, me neither"), or whatever else has caught her attention lately. Enemies:Anna is, first and foremost, a soldier at heart. She doesn't pick and choose her battles based on who she'd rather not fight; if you're clearly in the wrong, or you're hurting someone she loves, or if a senior Avenger orders her accordingly, you're her enemy now. It's that simple. Then there's the family issue to consider. Anna draws a lot of pride from the fact she's upholding the Ms. Marvel legacy (even if she doesn't yet feel totally worthy of that name), and so she knows the details of her mother's superhero career possibly better than Carol herself. Along with that comes the inheritance of old grudges, so Anna holds a natural dislike for any members of the Darkholme family, owing to the unpleasant history between Ms. Marvel, Rogue and Mystique. The same would also be true of any children of Eric Williams a.k.a Grim Reaper, Wonder Man's evil brother, despite Anna's apparent preference for her mom. Lovers:Anna has had a few civilian boyfriends in her young life, but never made it past 3 real dates with any of them, as her superhero career inevitably took priority over romance. This does bother her during quiet moments, but she keeps it to herself. The solution to that may be to seek a relationship with someone else already involved in the hero biz, but Anna hasn't quite reached that conclusion on her own yet. Anna and Steve: Obviously, there isn't a soul in the world who doesn't react when they hear the name 'Captain America', and Anna's no different. In fact, it's the main obstacle when it comes to Anna and Steve being on friendly terms, as Anna will be inclined to behave like she's in the presence of both her C.O. and her school principal when Steve's around, making her constantly on edge and extremely watchful of what she's saying. When/if she calms down, though, the two should get along just fine.
Question for ya, though: how similar is your Steve to the old (current in the comics) Cap? I'm asking because I'd imagine that being the head of SHIELD, in the long term, would put a lot of strain on someone with the simple black-&-white morals of the old Cap, and it's that old-fashioned way of looking at things that led to a certain amount of conflict between him and Ms. Marvel. Like, Carol's respect for Steve Rogers was undying, but she still sided with Tony Stark during and after Civil War, and would do so again if she had to, since she's a pragmatist and thought that the world needed a more flexible hand at the helm. If your Steve has the same kind of code, his relations with Anna may be prone to the same sort of philosophical difference.

Anna and CallieI think that they could possibly be friends. Or something along those lines at least. Callies grown up with friends of her parents - Hawkeye and Mockingbird - and will have seen the other younger Avengers as they started into the hero fold. She's 16, but has started a sort-of job at S.H.I.E.L.D. mainly through her mothers influence, and Callie's observant eye which means that on the few short trips she's had to be taken under S.H.I.E.L.D. caare whilst her parents were fighting, she's noticed and taken in too much. She's lively, likes to have fun and joke and muck around. She's quite prone to making sarcastic commentgs and jokes at the wrong time. It'd be nice for her to have some close to her age that she could maybe even look up to, and ask her questions to. Just a thought.

Anna and Callie:I imagine that Anna would be prone to thinking of Callie in a 'big sister'-y kind of way; insofar as she can be over-protective to the point of almost smothering Callie when she's around, especially where the dreaded topic of boys is concerned. They'd definitely be friends, though. Callie's the sort of girl who could easily bring out Anna's softer side and let her unwind after spending 48 solid hours kicking Skrulls in the face (or whatever).

Sounds fitting to me. Callie needs someone like that around her - someone to look up to but then also have some fun with as well. And I think it'd be quite easy for Cal to get Anna to relax at times - it's what Callie excells at! Of course, when Anna does get 'smothering' Callie will not be pleased and will argue back. But then that's what happens with real siblings. And it could just be rather fun.

Nathan and Anna Well, I'm not entirely sure what the relationship between these two would be. They might be friends, or just team mates on the avengers.
