"Cause I dug my key into the side of his pretty little four wheel drive..." Laura said to herself quietly swaying or more spinning in circles on the street next to the park. She had a bright smile on her face and her hair was down in soft auburn curls. Laura van Dyne said a soft Woah before falling onto the grass dizzy a few giggles escaping from her glossy pink lips. She kept her smile on her face as she removed her ipod from her ears turning it off ending the song. Laura stared up at the sky watching the clouds contently. Today had been a pretty good day for the young heroine, she was able to end her photo shoot early and squeeze in a two hour shopping trip buying anything she wanted till her hearts content. Then there was no new villains popping out to ruin the day either. Today so far was perfect,Laura closed her eyes wanting nothing more to listen to nature and the happenings of the the park.
Or not Laura thought suddenly getting the feeling she was being watched propping herself on her shoulders and looking up she saw someone standing over her too lost in thought to notice the petite woman. "I know I'm small but please don't step on me" Laura said breaking the person's concentration.

The young girl sat absolutely silent, kneeling on the soft grass of the park. Her eyes were staring straight ahead, where a tiny blue butterfly was flapping it's wings on a bright green leaf, on a bright green bush. A grin was set on her face. Cassandra Storm was glad to get out of the house for a little while - her Aunt Susan had been watching her while her father was out, but after a while she had allowed the young girl to go to a park nearby as long as she made certain that she was back in time for tea and... Uh... There were other conditions, but Cassie wasn't entirely sure what they were. As soon as she knew she was allowed out she had stopped paying attention.
If only Ben was around to play with her, to prank with her... But, meh. He was outta town. How annoying.
It was up to her and her alone to make some fun. For a little while she had just skipped through the park - so tempted to use her powers, but no, even her father had warned her against that. And if he warned her not to do something she wouldn't do it. Besides, he knew more about her power than she did, having had the same thing for even longer.
So that was out the question. After a while, she had on stopped in the spot she was now. After a few seconds the bright blue butterfly had fluttered past her, and now, here she was. Staring at it. And then, the butterfly flew away. Just like that.
Sighing, Cassie fell backwards. Stretched out on the grass she stayed silent until the sound of someone singing just outside the park caught her attention. Rolling onto her stomach she looked in the direction of the singing, but it quickly stopped. Stretching her arms in front of her, Cassie then pushed herself into a sitting position. What to do? She didn't have anyone to play with yet, and she did really want to do something, anything.
Making a snap decision she jumped to her feet and wandered away from the sunny spot. Turning around a corner past a bush she spotted the source of the singing. A girl. A smile formed on Cassie's face, and she fidgeted. She moved so she was standing next to the girl and opened her mouth to speak, but the girl got there first.
"Huh..." She rubbed the back off her neck, and grinned, "I don't plan on squishing anyone. I'm small myself. She shrugged, not sure what to do or say now. Which was a little unusual, but it didn't last long. "Uh, I'm Cassie. I just... I guess I thought I'd say hello. Or something." She held out her hand.

"I'm Laura nice to meet you Cassie take a seat" Laura said patting the spot of grass next to her with her free hand while she shook Cassie's hand with the other. Soon enough Laura let go of Cassie's hand and went back to staring at the sky. She was tempted to command some butterflies to come into the vincinity but figured she might be pushing it since she commanded the ants to not crawl on her. Some may think that controlling bugs was a stupid power but Laura found usefulness in it, of course hands down flying would be her favorite ability.
"So Cassie I take it the whole don't talk to strangers never stuck with you huh? Not that I'm complaining or that you should be worried" Laura assured the girl, as a hero she knew first hand the types of creeps there were out there and to be honest there were a few Laura would not want around her children if she had any. But still she was only slightly interested why this girl chose to talk to her.
Not that she minded, she didn't mind talking to someone if if they appeared to be significantly younger than herself. Any company was good company right? Or was that publicity? Probably publicity Laura thought mentally correcting herself. She heard her manager drill one of the two into her head and Laura didn't ever recall being given the company speech.
Opening one brown eye, Laura looked at Cassie something about her seemed familiar. It was the face but she couldn't exactly place it, Laura was positive she had never met her before. Maybe she was related to someone she knew, perhaps being an Avenger meant that she often had a long list of contacts. Most of them were other heroes, she didn't need any villains knocking at her door.

Cassie shifted her weight from one foot to another. She was slightly bored, and looking down at the girl there was something familiar about it - extremely familiar, maybe they'd met or passed by at some point. But did it really matter? Cassie sat cross-legged on the grass by the girl, looking up at the sky. No, no it didn't matter. The girl seemed to give off an air of fun - at least at the moment. And that was good enough for Cass.
A bright laugh escaped the young girl, "Not many lessons stick with me. It's like, a... problem people say. But when it comes to some things, it's probably a gift. A talent!" She cast Laura a grin. Worried? Her? Never. Stranger Danger? Yes, it would be danger for the stranger. Of course Cassie wasn't stupid - she never intentionally sought out danger (even now, she was certain what she was doing wasn't dangerous, so it was fine). Cassie did listen to her family when they'd tell her not to go looking for trouble. But she could take care of herself, she knew that much. And so did they.

"I like that logic so I take it you're a bit of a trouble maker? I like those kind of people being a troublemaker myself" Laura commented with a smirk. She was a bit of a trouble maker admittably. Occassionally any pranks done in the Avengers Academy was by Laura. Though she never really recieved a punishment her father Henry Pym was the headmaster. He often said he would handle Laura's punishments himself but they were never any real punishments. But occassionally she did get detention from teachers who weren't afraid of giving Laura one.
Sighing Laura stood up dusting grass off her clothes, they were expensive after all and Laura didn't want them getting too dirty. Stains were so horrible to get out especially on expensive designer skirts. "You know Cassie you look really familiar I haven't seen you at a photoshoot or fashion run way have I?" Laura asked, Cassie was pretty in her eyes though she didn't dress like a model so she wasn't extirely sure she had met Laura.through fashion.

Smiling, Cassie then gave a small shrug, "I can be a trouble maker yeah." She paused for a moment and then grinned brightly. "A pretty good one too. I learnt from my dad." Her father was slowly, very slowly, growing out of his trickster ways, but he was making sure to tell Cassie everything he knew. Granted most of his tricks and pranks were about her Uncle Ben - and most could only be done with him, which was quite funny. But a few tales he had were about her Uncle Peter. These she lessons she could utilise well, her best friend was after all Peter Parkers son, Ben.
Cassie leant back, watching Laura stand up and dust herself off. No wonder. Her clothes did look great - and pretty expensive too. Not that money really mattered to the Storms... but Cassie hadn't yet grown into the stage where money meant too much to her yet.
"A photoshoot?" Cassie shook her head. "Nope. Not me, m'fraid. Not my scene..." How could she seem familiar to the girl though? Cassie did think that Laura seemed familiar, but... She met and passed a lot of people, and if she thought she saw Cassie at a fashion run way or photoshoot then the girl must be quite famous in her way. She'd have to think harder to work out how she knew the girl. "Let's see... Hey! I guess people do say I look quite like my dad. He's Johnny Storm." She grinned up at Laura. "He's kinda famous, y'know."

"Oh I know of him" Laura said with a smirk, now she realized why this girl looked so familiar it was because she was the daughter of a hero as well. This was pretty cool it wasn't everyday, or actually it was practically everyday that Laura saw other children of heroes but still this was really something!
"I'm kinda famous too I guess the name is Laura van Dyne or you can call me Wasp usually the latter is easier for most people" Laura said with a wink, she didn't have a secret identity everyone knew that Laura was Wasp, she just didn't want to do costume changes in an alley to go help the Avengers, huge waste of time and stress that Laura didn't need plus it would delay her action time to go save others.
"So can you do anything like your dad? I personally find flying and blasting things to be quite enjoyable" she commented thinking about her own powers fondly. She had the ability to grows wings from her back and blast things with bioenergy. Personally flying was her favorite but the other things like super strength and communicating with insects were pretty cool too. Though the Fantastic Four had completely different abilities like turning into fire, being elastic or invisible or even get rock hard skin and strength to rival the Hulk. All very unique and very helpful but sometimes hard to deal with if you're one of those people who crave normal lives.

Cassie grinned back at Laura’s smirk. It would have been rather unusual for her father not to be known. ”Yeah. Well, I’m just recognizable through him.” Her father often took her out places (though rarely took her brother…) and a few times they had had their picture taken by people. Which Cassie had found weird. Her dad didn’t seem to mind – rather he enjoyed the attention, but at times when the cameras had focused on Cassie he had gotten a little annoyed not wanting pictures of her to be spread everywhere.
Brightening up even more, her eyes sparkled with delight, ”Really? That’s so cool! Wasp, yeah, I have heard of you. Wow…” She smiled looking over the girl quickly, her smile still in place. It was pretty cool to run into a hero when she wasn’t in the Baxter Building.
Cassie nodded enthusiastically at the question, ”Yuh huh. I got his fire powers. Which is pretty freakin’ awesome.” Cass was proud of her abilities, and loved having the opportunity of being taught by her father. And c’mon, creating and manipulating flames? That was just plain cool and awesome. ”Flying is great!” she agreed, though being honest she was still having a little bit of trouble getting used to it. A couple of times her flame had died out whilst she was in the air – nearly causing her dad to have a heart attack while he tried to catch her, though Cassie always laughed the little incidents off.
