”Color me dull…” the young mutant said, dryly as she stood by one of the many to-the-floor size windows, on one of the many floors in Stark Tower. Sighing, she ran a hand through her hair, gazing out across the landscape. The spiralling towers, the steel grid blocks. The people were like ants. As were the vehicles. That was strange.
Arms folded she tilted her head to look behind her using the reflections in the mirror. Her Uncle, Dr. McCoy, or Beast, was sitting on one of the larger seats by the long wooden table. Se didn’t need to look at him though to tell that he was giving her a patient smirk. ”I know, I know I shouldn’t be saying that. I’m glad to get out. Really. But we’ve been here nearly two hours whilst my mother and father are talking.” Turning fully around she walked over to the table, her hands resting on it.
“Megan, I’m sure they will be done soon. Just relax. Enjoy being out and about, and not working at the mansion. Enjoying not having to listen to the constant cries and calls of young male and female mutants, the whining – from teachers and students alike. Molly’s constant talking of hats, Tommy Shepherd and mutants.”
Megan Summers, heiress daughter of the leaders of the X-Men and mutantkind, gave an unladylike snort. ”Very true.” she smiled, glancing about the room another time.”Okay. I’m going to go and have a look around. And no, it’s not ‘snooping’.” She smiled again as she moved towards the door. ”I’ll be back before you know it.”
And with that the mutant moved out of the room and into the hallway. She wasn’t entirely sure where her parents and most of the Avengers were, but she had the vague notion they were on one of the higher up levels. Whilst eavesdropping on the meeting appealed to her on some level, Megan had been brought up not to do things like that – and her mother would sense her long before she could even do such a thing.
So, perhaps one of the lower floors that were open to her. Standing in the hallway, she tried to quickly make up her mind. Standing still wasn’t going to help her any either.

Eddie had just gotten out of a fight, swinging toward Stark tower. The fight had been against a new symbiote. It was an entirely new one, no relation to Venom or his descendants. However, it was still a symbiote, and he had been able to destroy it completly. It was an impurity, and it was how he was able to cleanse the host of it. However, it had been an effort, as it had been able to to lift up to sixty tons, and Eddie could only lift fifty tons when calm. Due to the fact he had gotten angry, he had managed to increase his strength as his size increased.
Landing infront of the tower, Eddie smiled and transformed back into his human form. It was more like the symbiote had just disappeared from his skin. Ever since he had first tapped into his powers, he'd found it easy to transform back and forth between his human form and his symbiote form. He knew why that was. He was born with the symbiote and that meant that he was the most genetically compatible person for it. Hell, he was the only person who could utilize his symbiote, as it was part of his DNA. If he hadn't been born with the symbiote, he'd only have two helix's.
Looking around, Eddie rubbed the back of his neck and walked down a hallway. As he walked, however, he felt his impurity sense going a bit haywire. Sighing, he knew it was becayse, ever since it had beciome more advanced, it had started picking up impurities even when they were not in a persons body. That meant he could sense alcohol and drugs even if they were not in a persons body. Focusing on his impurity sense, he allowed it to stop working in his human form. For now, Eddie would just go with his normal powers.

Eyeing the hallway carefully, Molly made a quick decision and turned to the right. There would be an elevator there. She could decide where to go when she got there. Probably. The main thing was just getting going. Doing anything. After all, soon enough she'd end up back at the mansion, only allowed on cases that were dull and over quickly.
Sighing, she unfolded her arms, letting them swing loosely by her side as she moved towards the elevator. Turning a corner, Megan stopped, cautious. About half-way along strode a man she had seen before, yes, but talked to? Hm. Maybe a passing of words - after all, with her parents being who they were, and her being on the X-Men she met a lot of people. But certainly she had never truly held a conversation with him before.
Shrugging her shoulders, she leant against the wall and folded her arms. "Hello there." Though he probably did not remember her in the slightest, he was a form of conversation. She needed that. Brushing a strand of hair out the way, she straightened up. Good form and posture cost nothing her mother would say, but could open doors for you. Or something like that. For the last little while, the young Summers-Frost hadn't been listening too often. And no doubt everyone was aware of that.

Walking down the hallway, Eddie thought about how the last nine years had been. Ever since he had discovered his symbiotic mutation, allowing him to transform into Anti-Venom II and utilize all of its powers in his symbiote form, and some of his powers in his human form, his life had changed. He'd felt like the “true” Edward Charles Brock Junior had come forth after he had gained his powers. Rolling his neck as he continued to walk, he wondered about how his life had been in the most recent weeks. The editors of the daily globe were on Eddie's case more and more in the last couple of months. He knew why that was.
After they had fired Eddie Brock Sr, they had lost all respect for him and actually hated him. And this extended to Eddie Jr as well. They treated him like he was a piece of scum, and it wasn't just because of his father's failure with the Sin-Eater murders. It was because of Eddie Sr being the original Venom for a time. However, some of the employees and higher ups at the daily globe were sympathetic to Eddie Jr, understanding that he was different to is father. However, Eddie Jr had even bigger problems now. His dad had also become a symbiote hunter several years before Eddie Jr was born, and he was still hunting them, having fought them several times and barely survived each time, especially against Carnage. And Eddie Brock Sr's mental instabilities were beginning to return. He was becoming disillusioned with people, and if he found his son in his Anti-Venom costume, he might attack.
However, as Eddie was about to contemplate the philosophical matters and certain problems that could happen due to his dad hunting symbiotes when he had been bonded to one at one time, his thoughts were interrupted as a woman said hello there. Looking at her, he said “Hello there. My names Brock. Edward Brock Jr. Who are you? And its a pleasure to meet you.”

Glancing over the young-ish man (he was older than her by a bit certainly, but not as old as Logan, so he an –ish had to be added), Megan took in his slight hesitation in replying. It wasn’t that he hadn’t wanted to reply, the hesitation Megan had sensed was merely due to an interruption in his train of thoughts.
Though Megan practiced her telepathic powers often, and with the help of her mother, sometimes things slipped through. In her boredom and lack or anyone else except her uncle, she had let her mental blocks slip slightly. She hoped and prayed her mother wouldn’t learn of it. But even in her split-second of less-than-perfect guarding, she had only caught a tiny bit of his thought process, and knew only that she had pulled him out of some serious thinking. Curious, she wished to learn more but… Well, there were serious moral problems with that. Definitely.
A small smirk played on her face as she listened to him talk. It wasn’t unkind, more playful really. She took it in and nodded, ”Nice to meet you too, I’m sure.” Megan gave a slight nod, and her smirk turned to a grin, but it was still just as playful. At last, someone to talk to. Even if the man in front of her would likely end up annoyed. Alas, not a problem she would ever care about. ”I’m Megan Summers. My father and mother are here to talk to the Avengers…” She trailed off and shrugged, before eyeing the person in front of her carefully. ”I’ve been here many times before, but I can’t remember ever seeing you…” Pausing, her look of thinking fell back into her grin again. ”But then this place is big, and the people here are always busy.”

Eddie looked at the woman. She appeared to be with late teens or very early twenties. He wasn't the best at telling a person's age, and he was just guessing about this woman being near her twenties, or in her twenties. However, he didn't need to know about her age right now, as he did not know her very well, and she seemed like a nice person. However, he continued to dwell on the problem with his father being the hunter of symbiotes, which was what Eddie Jr was to some extent. He considered himself to be sixty five percent human, and thirty five percent symbiote, as the majority of his DNA was human, and the percentages were the actual numbers for his genetics.
When the girl said “Nice to meet you too, I’m sure” , Eddie smiled a bit, noticing her small smirk. Had he said something playful or funny? He was fairly certain that he hadn't said anything that would be considered funny. The young symbiote/human sort of hybrid listened as the girl said ”I’m Megan Summers. My father and mother are here to talk to the Avengers... I’ve been here many times before, but I can’t remember ever seeing you…But then this place is big, and the people here are always busy.” Eddie understood why she might not have seen him around here before. He had been coming in his Anti-Venom persona, and only coming out of it in the meetings.
Smiling a bit, Eddie said to Megan “Well, if you've seen someone like this....” and as he said that, the symbiote crawled up and engulfed him, taking ten seconds to do so. He then allowed it to retract and said “You might have seen me as my white form, or symbiote form as its rightfully called. I'm Edward Brock's son. The original Venom and Anti-Venom. Though, he's relatively normal now.” Chuckling a bit, he said “Its a long and complicated story, involving older heroes.”

Quickly, Megan built up the walls around her mind again. It was a little embarrassing to have them fall so easily. She could blame it on the long Danger Room sessions and then a lack of sleep despite exhaustion, she could blame it on boredom - but really, Megan knew it was just carelessness and lack of concentration on her part. She'd have to try harder to make sure it didn't happen again.
Straightening up, Megan watched quite fascinated at the transformation. She made a clicking noise with her tongue, before a "Huh." Now that was interesting. Strange, but interesting. She nodded, "Symbiote form... I have seen you as that."
She listened closely to the brief explanation. Her mind however, was racing. Symbiote. That was the clear word she had heard in his head before. Was he having trouble with it? Something was wrong. But she would delve no further, and instead of betraying her inner debate, casually replied, "Or course. Venom and Anti-Venom I've heard of." A small grin graced her lips again, "It's rare to find anyone truely normal nowadays." And she knew that well enough.
"The best stories have the older heroes." As a young child she had heard tales of her parents and their hero friends deeds. Heard them from many stories. Her boyfriend, son to one Rogue and Gambit, had many tales that he had heard from his family and would sometimes pass them on to her. She herself loved to hear the old Avengers tales. There was something... odd, yet drawing in them.

Eddie was pondering something. The girl said she was a Summers, and Eddie Sr had told Eddie Jr all about the summers. If this was the daughter of Scott Summers and Emma Frost, then she might be a telepath or someone who fires concussive beams. He wasn't sure, and he would ask her about her powers in a bit. All mutations were different, and sometimes mutants were born to relatively normal parents. Eddie Jr himself was an example of this; his parents being normal, apart from his dad still having some symbiote cells and DNA within his body. They had been transferred to Eddie Jr upon conception, replacing thirty five percent of his DNA with the symbiote cells and DNA, which came in the form of his third helix.
Noticing the girl seeming to have trepidation about his symbiote he had, Eddie thought about it. Choosing his words carefully after she had finished talking completely, he said “You seem nervous about me having a symbiote. Let me explain. My father was Venom, and then Anti-Venom. He hunts symbiotes now, but some of the Anti-Venom symbiotes cells and DNA lived on in him. When I was conceived, the cells and DNA were transferred me, making me a mutant by giving me a third helix full of the genetic information. It also made me thirty five percent symbiote.
Eddie took a few breathes, and he then continued with his explanation “My symbiote is mindless and is more of a genetic mutation for me, allowing me to switch between the symbiote form and the human form. I can even access some of the symbiotes power in my human form. It's quite interesting when you think about it. Sorry about rambling. And if you do not mind me asking, what are your powers? If you are a mutant that is? Or do you prefer the term homo superior.” Eddie asked this with an inquisitive move of his eyebrows.

Megan chuckled softly. Nervous? Not quite. But then again, perhaps it was better for him to think she was nervous about it instead of finding out she had heard the word in his mind. Though he had an... an ability as well, it was a big stretch to say he'd understand about hers. Not everyone was particularly fond of telepaths and Megan could understand that. Thoughts were private things - she knew that well enough by now.
But she listened to him try and explain. It was rather interesting of course. She hadn't met Venom, Anti- or otherwise, though of course there had been tales of him. Nodding, Megan replied, "I see."
She paused then, smiling - all in all quite amused. It had been a little bit of a ramble, but rambles could be good. "I'm a fan of rambling. At times. It's fine." Then she paused again, trying to work out what to say, what to share and what not to share. Absently she remarked, "Mutant is fine..." Clearing her throat she then shrugged, "You'll have heard of Emma Frost? Well, then I have her abilities. Her... talents. A little bit different, but mainly the same."

Eddie Jr smiled a small bit as he talked with Megan. She was quite interesting, and it was nice to talk about his mutation to someone, especially since it had been a while since he had discussed his powers with someone. He was a new member of the avengers, and he was a welcome one, as he had shown himself to be a good and loyal member, as well as different to his father. Also, some of the team found it useful to have someone who could cure them of alcohol or radiation poisoning, when it was possible that they might fall victim of any of the things that Eddie could heal them off.
Eddie listened as Megan said "Mutant is fine..." Clearing her throat she then shrugged, "You'll have heard of Emma Frost? Well, then I have her abilities. Her... talents. A little bit different, but mainly the same." Eddie understood what that meant. She was a telepath, and probably a powerful one. However, that raised the question, had she been the telepath who had just prodded his mind only moments ago? Eddie scratched the back of his neck and he said “This might sound crazy, but were you the telepath who was in my mind a minute ago? I felt some sort of telepathic presence in my mind.”

Glancing around, Megan then leant slightly against the wall of the hallway, her arms still folded. She regarded the man in front of her with some interest. It was always good to meet someone new of course. To learn a little about them - good or bad. Preferably good, though. And being a part of the groups she was she met a lot of new people.
Megan's eyes sharpened at his comment. He had felt that? But she was always so careful. Never probing hard. Frowning softly, she turned her head away and said, in his mind only, "Yes. It would have been me. I didn't meant to do so." Talking in someone elses head, not having to speak out loud was strange, but often a good thing. Certainly it was great that Oli and herself could do so, thereby cutting the risk of having an embarrassing talk overhead by eithers parents.

Eddie was also thinking while talking to Megan. Recently, he had been doing research on the symbiotes, and he knew that his dad had a good knowledge of them as well. However, Eddie Jr had a better chance of being a symbiote hunter than his dad, mainly due to him being Anti-Venom and being able to destroy the symbiotes easily. However, he wasn't just researching symbiotes to help his dad hunt them, it was also so that he himself could be better equiped to fight them, and help the Avengers combat them if they ever founded a team that could combat the Avengers.
Eddie was quite suprised when he heard Megan say in his mind "Yes. It would have been me. I didn't meant to do so." Eddie said "Its fine that you probed my mind. I was curious as to what the telepathic probe in my mind was. For a second, I believed that my symbiote had gained some semblance of sentience, a consciousness of its own. And while I was afraid of that, I knew it wasn't, as I'd have felt a second consciousness by now if my symbiote had gained some sentience of its own. But, it is a pleasure to meet you Megan."
Smiling at her, Eddie said "And I still think you are nervous about my symbiote. Do you think it is possibly going to gain some sentience of its own, or is it just a worry after hearing the stories of Venom and Carnage, as well as the symbiote invasion so many years go."

For a second Megan thought she had startled him to much, or probed too deep. But soon, he was talking once more, and she relaxed a little. She could act out her mothers aloof demeanor, but she did care inside. A lot. "Okay. Good. I won't be doing that again. At least not without some good reason, I suppose." She smiled, listening to him, "Uh... Yeah, definitely not a symbiote. Just me. And just by accident."
This time Megan had to laugh, "Trust me, I'm curious about the sumbiote not nervous. So far I have no reason to be nervous, and I don't intend to worry without a cause. It's just too tiring. And dull." Megan gave a light shrug. "I've heard tales, certainly. Who hasn't? But as you are not Venom or Carnage, I won't judge you on how they are. Sound fair?"
