History:
After Nathaniel had been born Madelyne had not planted on or even wanted another child but years after her son was born Madelyne met James White a recent recruit for the Hellfire club who peaked the interest of the Goblin Queen. Though to her anger James didn't share the feelings she had. So the Red Queen took it upon herself to use herpowers as means to achieve her goals. She used her telepathy to get James in her bed repeatedly until Madelyne had found herself pregnant. At first she was angered by the news but decided to use this to her advantage. She would mold this child into her image to lead the Hellfire club once her time was done.
Nine months later Gwendolyn Jean Pryor was born. At a young age Gwendolyn showed signs of her mother's mutant abilities. Though her childhood wasn't filled with warmth and love like a normal child. It didn't take long for Gwen to realize her father was being mind controlled either. At first Gwendolyn didn't question it though she knew how wrong her mother was. When Gwen was 13 she saw the X-men fight, there she was amazed by how the X-men used their gifts for the benefit of others. Later in the battle she was almost attacked a mistake on the Hellfire Club's part, but Gwen showed signs of the Phoenix force when she honestly felt endangered.
Her mother wanted to use this to her advantage, but Gwen having been inspired by the X-men ran away. Due to this she had no formal training is controlling or even calling forth the Phoenix force. Not wanting to draw attention to herself out of fear of her mother discovering her, Gwen used telepathy to get through life. Using her powers Gwen was able to find a home and practically raise herself. Finding that she liked being a civilian Gwen never took up the hero or villain business and after majoring in journalism at college she began working at the Daily bugle.
